Chupacabra

The Chupacabra, which means "goat sucker" in Spanish, was first reported in Puerto Rico, then later in the Americas. It is about 3 to 4 feet tall and humanoid in appearance, but after that general discription the rest of it's appearance seems to vary from sighting to sighting. It's common habit is to suck the blood out of livestock, though goats are a favorite target.

Most reports say it looks like a lizard-like being with leathery and greenish-grey skin with sharp spines running down it's back. A wild dog type breed has also been reported that looks part reptilian with large eye sockets, fangs, and claws.

There are many artist's renditions of the Chupacabra that are just as varying as it's reported appearance.

Sightings of the creature continue to this day from the Americas to as far as Russian. There are many theories as to what exactly this being is. One theory is that they are alien creatures, or maybe "pets" of aliens. Another theory is that they are products of genetic experiments by the US Government. This belief is mainly held in Puerto Rico, where the being was originally sighted. For the scientific community it is mainly an urban legend or perhaps a creature made up by the locals where it is spotted.
